Kimberly Ann Cook

Kimberly Ann Cook, 58, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Lorain on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after a long illness. Born on April 15, 1967, at Elyria Memorial Hospital, Kim was the daughter of the late Preston “Jim” Cook and Dorothy L. Cook. She graduated from Midview High School in 1985.

Kim built a career working at Elyria Savings and Trust National Bank, Rieth Realty, and Third Federal Savings and Loan. She had a deep love for animals and cherished the many birds, cats, and dogs that shared her life over the years.

She is survived by her brother, James “Jim” (Doris) Cook of Wellington, Ohio, and her sister, Kathy Hissom of Chippewa Lake, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Kevin (Melissa Powless) Cook, Kyle (Erinn Anderson) Cook, Rachel (Nathan) Joppeck, Ashley (Chris) Vidika, Tyler (fiancé Courtney Markiewitz) Hissom, and Travis Hissom; and her great-nieces and nephews, Maddox Joppeck, Jayden Vidika, Carter Cook, Addyson Joppeck, and Brinley Vidika. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston “Jim” Cook and Dorothy Cook, and her brother-in-law, Jay Hissom.
