Kimberly A. (Brauer) Latham

Kimberly A. (Brauer) Latham, age 41, passed away on March 10, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Jeffrey B. Latham, with whom she shared 19 months of marriage. Born in Newport, Rhode Island, Kim was the first of four children born to Orrie E. and Judith M. (Johnson) Brauer.

A longtime medical secretary at Kent County Hospital, Kim was on track to graduate this year from Providence College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Administration. She was happiest on the water, whether boating with her husband, taking day trips to Block Island and Newport, or simply enjoying the sea air. Together she and Jeff cherished quiet evenings watching movies, dinners out, playing music bingo and trivia, and going on cruises. Kim also found great joy and community through her workouts at Ocean State CrossFit, where she formed a second family.

She is survived by her husband Jeffrey; her siblings Bryan Brauer, Matthew Brauer (wife Tiffany), and Victoria Brauer; her cherished nieces and nephews Gianna, Savanna, Michael, and Madelynn; her parents-in-law Dr. Peter M. Latham, D.D.S. and Cynthia A. Latham; her sister-in-law Diana Latham-Kinman (husband Robert); and her grandmother-in-law Priscilla Clark. Kim also leaves behind a wide circle of devoted friends and her beloved dogs, Gemma and Piper, who were constant companions at her side.

Her passing has left a deep void in everyone who had the privilege to know and love her.
