Born on September 21, 1968, Kim's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and an unyielding zest for life. She was a beloved daughter to her late parents, Kenneth and Sue Peot, a cherished sister to Steven Peot, and a treasured niece to Aunt Barbara (David) Lyskawa. Her departure is deeply felt by numerous relatives and a host of friends who had the privilege of sharing in her journey.
Kim's academic journey began at Greenfield High School, where she graduated with the class of 1986, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and academic achievement. She continued to pursue excellence at Alverno College, where she further developed her skills and prepared for a future of service and leadership. Kim's professional life was marked by over 25 years of dedicated service at the airport, culminating in her role as a supervisor with American Airlines. She was a familiar and friendly face to countless travelers, often being the last smile they saw before taking to the skies.
Her commitment to her community was unwavering, as evidenced by her long-standing presence at The Packing House. Starting in 1993, Kim became a staple at the drive-thru window every Friday, as well as every Thanksgiving and Easter for 13 years. Her time as a former employee of Eddie Martini's further showcased her versatility and unwavering work ethic. Kim's colleagues across all her roles knew her as a model of reliability and spirit, always willing to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kim was a true connoisseur of life's pleasures. She had an insatiable love for travel, embracing the beauty and diversity of the world with open arms. Summers up north were a cherished tradition, providing a backdrop for countless memories with family and friends. A consummate host, Kim's home was a hub of laughter, conversation, and delectable cuisine, thanks to her exceptional cooking skills.
Those who knew Kim will remember her as the epitome of loving kindness, a friend who met every person with a smile and an open heart. Her spirit was one of unwavering friendliness, touching the lives of those around her in profound ways. Kim's legacy is one of joy, a life lived fully and shared generously. Her absence leaves a void in the tapestry of our community, but her memory will forever be woven into the stories and lives of those she loved. As we bid farewell to Kim Peot, we celebrate a life that exemplified the very best of human kindness and the enduring power of a spirited soul.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, March 16th, from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm at Max A Sass- Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, WI 53220
