Kevin Ray Love

Kevin Ray Love, 66, of Kernersville, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Kernersville Medical Center. Born on October 8, 1959 in Forsyth County to Billy Ray and Gale Smith Love, Kevin graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1977 and later earned an Associate Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College. He retired from the Winston-Salem Transit Authority. He found joy in visits to the beach, fishing, and his lifelong admiration for cars—an interest he inherited from his father—yet his favorite pastime remained reading.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Bill Love; his brother, Kyle Love; his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Maymie Smith; his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Altie Love; and his aunts, Kathy Burkhart and Kay Williams.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Love; his granddaughter, Gemma; his mother, Gale Love; his brother, Kerry Love and wife Theresa; his nieces, Dora and Mattison Love; his great-nephew, Morgan; his uncle and aunts, Gene Love and Marilyn, and Denise Milton and Terry; his cousins, Kelsey and Joshua; and many other cousins and relatives.
