July 16, 1973— March 7, 2026
Mashpee, MA
Kevin Patrick Murphy, 52, of Mashpee, formerly of Madison, Maine and North Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 7, 2026. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on July 16, 1973, he was the beloved son of David R. and Christine M. (Gagnon) Murphy of Mashpee. He grew up in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro and graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1991.
Kevin worked as a carpenter for many years with various construction companies from Maine to Massachusetts, most recently with Cape Wide Construction. A true outdoorsman, he loved boating, fishing, and hunting, especially during his time in Maine. He took great pride in his Harley-Davidson Street Glide, which he affectionately called “Candy,” and enjoyed four-wheel driving in his Jeeps. An avid Boston Bruins fan, he was also a skilled cook and a deeply patriotic American. Above all, Kevin was happiest when spending time with his two daughters, who were the center of his world.
He shared a deep and enduring love with his late wife, Rebecca M. “Becky” (Leach) Murphy, to whom he was married for 22 years until her passing on July 19, 2019. In addition to his parents, David and Christine, Kevin is survived by his beloved daughters, Lauren Murphy and Allison Murphy, both of Mashpee. He was the dear brother of Matthew Murphy and his wife Linda of Canterbury, New Hampshire, and Jennifer Kubinski and her husband Stanley of North Easton. He also leaves many aunts and uncles, as well as several nieces and nephews.
