Hobart, OK

Kevin Marshon Stubbs, 63, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family.

Kevin was born on September 24, 1962, at Hobart General Hospital in Hobart, Oklahoma. He was born and raised in Hobart, a community he loved deeply and proudly called home throughout his life. He was a graduate of Hobart High School.

Kevin spent much of his life working and serving the Hobart community. Early in his career, he worked at Hobart General Hospital as the Housekeeping Manager, where he took great pride in helping keep the hospital running smoothly and caring for those around him.

He later worked at Clink's Supermarket, where customers and coworkers came to know him for his friendly personality and strong work ethic. Kevin also spent time working at his uncle's business, Grinnell Pharmacy, where he greeted customers at the front counter, assisted community members with paying their utility bills, and brightened many children's days by often sneaking a free slush to the kids who came through the store.

Later in life, Kevin worked for the City of Hobart Water Department, continuing his dedication to serving and supporting the community he loved.

Kevin was a devoted sports fan and a passionate supporter of his favorite teams. He was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, University of Oklahoma Sooners football, and the Oklahoma City Thunder, rarely missing a chance to watch a game and cheer on his teams. Of course, if the Dallas Cowboys lost, everyone around him knew it might be best to give him a little time to cool off.

In his later years, Kevin's greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters, Eastyn and Emersyn. He rarely missed an opportunity to attend their activities and was always there to cheer them on and support them. The girls held a special place in his heart, and to them he was not only a grandfather, but also a loyal supporter and best friend.

Kevin lived his life in a simple but meaningful way, showing up for his family, standing by his friends, and always looking out for the people around him.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He had a fiery spirit and was never afraid to stand up for what he believed in, often fighting for the underdog and speaking up for those who needed someone in their corner. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to those who knew him. Though his passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the stories that will continue to be shared about him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jo Carol; his children, Tristan Berna and husband Gregory, and Devin Stubbs and wife Taylor; his beloved grandchildren, Eastyn Claire Berna and Emersyn Saige Stubbs; his mother, Sherry (Miller) Jakubowski; his father, Bobby Stubbs; his brother, Jared Jakubowski; his uncle, Steve Miller and wife Cindy; and his aunt, Paula Pace.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Miller and Dutch Miller.

Kevin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
