Kevin John Daly

Kevin John Daly, 74, of Leland, North Carolina, formerly of Newark, New York, passed away on March 7, 2026, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on March 3, 1952, in Syracuse, New York, he was the son of John and Norma (Fish) Daly. A graduate of Union Springs High School, Lyndon State College in Vermont, and with post-graduate studies at SUNY Cortland, Kevin built a respected career as a Class A PGA Professional and Head Golf Professional at several clubs in the Finger Lakes region.

In 1980, he married Mary K. Sullivan. Together they raised their children, Erin and Ryan, in Newark, New York. Kevin coached basketball for the Newark Central School District and found his greatest joy in supporting his children’s athletic pursuits. In his later years, he especially cherished the time spent with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his children, Erin (Andrew) Watkins and Ryan (Leanne Zonneville) Daly, and their mother, Mary Daly; granddaughters Grace, Eden, Ellie, and Penny; sister Nancy (Ronald) Chretien; brother Todd; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
