Kevin Irel Nance
July 28, 1954— March 8, 2026
West Point, UT
Kevin Irel Nance was born on July 28, 1954, in Ogden, Utah, and passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 71. He lived in Syracuse for 25 years before making West Point his home for the past 47 years.
Kevin graduated from Clearfield High School in 1972 and began a 48-year career with RC Willey. He started in delivery, where he met his wife, Janet, and later worked at the Freeport warehouse before becoming a receiving supervisor at the Salt Lake warehouse. He retired in 2020.
He found great joy in the outdoors, spending many hours camping, hunting, fishing, and riding ATVs. He cherished the memories of rifle, muzzleloader, and archery hunts with his two sons, his brother, and his father. In his younger years, Kevin played church basketball and baseball on several sponsored teams, bowled in a league, and enjoyed watching wrestling, westerns, and Yankee games—especially when his daughter rooted for the opposing team.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, and their three children: Bryan (Kristie) of West Point, Derrick (Carly) of Roy, and Heather Nance of West Point. Kevin was a grandfather to three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon (Suzanne) Nance, and his sister, Jolene Nance, both of Syracuse, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irel and Belva Nance, and his grandparents on both sides. He will be greatly missed by his family.
