Vachon, 63, long time resident of Methuen, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Restorative Center in Lawrence.Born in Methuen, MA, he was the son of the late George and Lorraine (Picard) Vachon. Kevin was a graduate of Greater Lawrence Technical High School, class of 1980. He worked in inspection as a calibration technician for AVCO. Kevin continued his education at Northern Essex College, where he earned a degree in IT then furthered his work with students through the admissions process.Kevin was a devout Catholic, and one of his hobbies became making rosaries that were delivered to the underprivileged. He loved playing cards and board games with family, especially cribbage, puzzles, and most of all he advocated for the rights of people with disabilities.Kevin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his siblings, Kenneth Vachon of Nashua, NH, Arlene Vachon of Hudson, NH, Joyce Charette, and her husband, John of Hudson, NH, and Kristin Manning and her husband, Matt of Derry, NH; aunt, Yolande Weston of Gilmanton, NH; uncles, Harold Proctor of Beverly and Paul and Jane Poirier of FL; nephews, Brendon and Corey Vachon, Peter and Eric Yeaton, and Matthew Manning. In addition, he also leaves behind many cousins, great-nephews and nieces.Family and Friends are invited to gather and celebrate Kevin's life during visiting hours on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 10:30am at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
