Kevin Emil Ocker, 72, of Altoona, passed away at his home on Wednesday after an extended illness. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marcella (Clouser) Ocker. On February 19, 1977, he married Sondra Forney at the Church of God in Lakemont, and the couple shared 49 years of marriage.
Kevin was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Sondra; daughters Stacey (Ocker) Giordano and husband John of Altoona, Kendra (Ocker) Wolfe and husband Doug of Hershey, and Jennifer (Ocker) Lattieri of Altoona; grandchildren Shauna Crownover (fiancé Jacob McMullen), Giavonna Giordano, Courtney Crownover, Madison Crownover, Dylan Wolfe, and Olivia Wolfe; great-grandchildren Brody McMullen and Lincoln McMullen; sister Debbie Ashburn and husband Rich, and sister Sandra Barfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Ocker, and brother-in-law, Joseph Barfield.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Kevin found joy in fishing, camping, bowling, and roller-skating. He will be remembered for his steadfast love for his family and the quiet strength he showed throughout his life.
