Kevin Dale Raynes, age 67, of Centerview, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on October 2, 1958, in Warrensburg, Missouri, he was the son of Cecil and Mary Lou (Curtis) Raynes.

Kevin served his country with distinction in the U.S. Army as an Attack Aviation Pilot, flying the AH-1 Cobra. From 1987 until his retirement in 2006 as a Lieutenant Colonel, he held multiple leadership positions and contributed to important projects in Missouri, Alaska, Honduras, Germany, and Turkey. In 2015, he married Dianne McCloud at their home in Centerview.

A dedicated waterfowl enthusiast, Kevin devoted many years to Ducks Unlimited and the Blackwater Chapter, serving in various roles and supporting countless events. Above all, he cherished time at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he enjoyed fishing, pontoon rides with Dianne, and creating lasting memories with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne McCloud; sons Derek (Courtney) Raynes and Clint (Megan) Raynes; daughter Tara (Ronnie) Sproat; step-daughter Megan (Larry) Holter; step-son Wes (Amber) Maness; nine grandchildren, Julia, Jackson, Cayson, Griffin, Hailey, Emmaline, Blake, Tyler, and Landon; sister Renee (Jeff) Winfrey; niece and nephew Ashley and Adam (Alex); and three great-nephews, Keenan, Billy, and Johnny. He was preceded in death by his parents.
