Kevin D. Miller

Kevin D. Miller, 68, of Keokuk, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born on December 20, 1957, in Keokuk, he was the son of Dale Floyd and June Colleen Farnsworth Miller. Kevin graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1976.

He worked for Rite Price Lumber until the business closed, then moved to Quincy, Illinois, where he was employed by Bayview Building Supply. Later returning to Keokuk, he served as a custodian for the Keokuk Community School District for three years before retiring. Kevin had a deep affection for his hometown, enjoying long walks through its streets, studying its history, and photographing many of its historic buildings. He took great pride in supporting local businesses and preserving the character of the community he cherished.

Kevin is survived by his five sisters, Carolyn Underwood of Keokuk, Joyce (John) Vaughn of Keokuk, Andrea (Randy) Schwiete of Keokuk, Barbara (Mark) Schlotter of Canton, Missouri, and Tina (Steve) Reinoehl of Keokuk; his brother-in-law, Tom Kohlmorgan; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Cindy Frueh, Deborah “Debbie” Kohlmorgan, and Linda Diane in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Roger Underwood.
