July 29, 1947— March 7, 2026
Cookeville, TN
Kent C. Frisbee, 78, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2026, in Houston, Texas while away on a work contract. Born on July 29, 1947, in Schenectady, New York, to Alice Mericle and Kent G. Frisbee, Kent graduated from Western Kentucky University and built a career in Human Resources at hospitals across the country. He formed deep and lasting connections with many people through his work.
In 2001, Kent married Linda Frisbee, and together they raised their three children in Cookeville. He had a lifelong love for Nascar, college basketball—especially the University of Kentucky Wildcats—the New York Yankees, playing guitar, and enjoying good food. He held a pilot’s license and took great joy in attending air shows and traveling with his family. A deacon at First Baptist Church, Kent was also active in the Chinese Church community and served as co-owner of Crepe and Creme. Above all, he was known for his bright, outgoing personality, his willingness to help others, his love of conversation, and his deep devotion to his family and his faith.
Kent is survived by his wife, Linda Frisbee; his children, John, Emily, and Angie; his sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Charley Carlton; his brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Robin Earles; and his beloved dogs, Happy and Momo.
