Kenneth J. Mraz

Kenneth J. Mraz, age 94, of Strongsville, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on June 28, 1931, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Jacob J. and Margaret E. (Ellerman) Mraz, Ken was a warm, kind, and caring man whose smile and laugh could light up any room. He cherished people and remained deeply committed to his community, particularly its children. A longtime leader in the Strongsville Kiwanis Club, serving as both president and vice president, Ken originated the Flag Project that still flies at the Strongsville Commons. He was also actively involved in his parish home, St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

Ken was married to Carole Mraz for 25 years until her passing in 2013. He is survived by his children, Charles (Joan) Mraz, James (Renee) Mraz, Colleen O’Malley, Bryan O’Malley, and Noreen O’Malley; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kevin) Hamm, Megan (Kyle) Mann, Jacob Mraz, Lauren (Nicole) Dittrich, Kelly (Jason) Kerr, Danielle (Cameron) Coyne, Alexa Ballow, and Ella O’Malley; and his great-grandchildren, Emma Hamm, Julian Mann, McKinley Mraz, Amelia Mraz, Evan Mraz, Hailey Kerr, and Rylee Kerr. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and the dear friends he made at Vitalia, who affectionately called him “The Mayor.”

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carole, and his parents, Jacob and Margaret Mraz.
