Kenneth George Huser
May 19, 1954— March 5, 2026
Fletcher, NC
Kenneth George Huser, of Fletcher, North Carolina, passed away on March 5, 2026, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.
Born on May 19, 1954, in Pandora, Ohio, to the late George Rolland Huser and Ann Jeanette Dearth, Kenneth lived in Pandora and later Lorida, Florida, before making his home in Western North Carolina. He built a respected career as a facility manager in the hotel and environmental management industries, where his strong work ethic, practical skills, and ability to fix just about anything earned the admiration of those around him. He took special pride in woodworking and caring for his land with his beloved Farmall tractors.
Kenneth’s deep passion for nature and conservation shaped much of his life. He contributed to the Kissimmee River Restoration Project in Florida, collaborated with Florida Atlantic University by leading ecotours of the restoration area, and served as an instructor for the Florida Master Naturalist Program, specializing in ornithology in the Kissimmee–Okeechobee–Everglades region. Affectionately known as “Captain,” he was a U.S. Coast Guard–certified Master Captain who cherished his time on the water.
On July 6, 2004, Kenneth married Patricia Ann English. Together they created a life centered on family. He was a devoted father who found his greatest joy in his five daughters. Kenneth is survived by his brother, Kevin; his daughters, Heidi, Mandy, Katie, Shannon, and Megan; and his cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Parker, Kendall, Kelsie, Sarah, Carrie, Harper, and Oliver. He will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his love of the natural world, his steady guidance, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.
