Kenneth George Dolph

March 19, 1938 March 6, 2026

Mt Kisco, NY

Kenneth George Dolph, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born on March 19, 1938, in Rye, New York, and passed away on March 6, 2026, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 87.

Raised in Rye by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Dolph, alongside his sister Theresa, Ken attended Resurrection Grammar School and graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains. As a young man he worked as a caddie at the local golf club, enjoyed fishing in Long Island Sound, and developed a lifelong passion for poker. In July 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, marrying the love of his life, Patricia Ouellette, on October 5, 1957, just before deploying to Germany. He served until 1960 with the First Mobile Missile Group, helping to deploy the Army’s first large-scale ballistic missile, the Redstone, an experience of which he remained deeply proud.

Ken and Patricia first lived in Rye before moving to Bedford Hills in 1963, where they raised their three children, Scott, Deborah, and Stephen. Ken worked at Kensico in Mount Kisco and later as a painter at Heritage Hills in Somers, often taking on side jobs to support his family and teaching his children the value of hard work. He cherished family gatherings, backyard barbecues, time with his grandchildren, and lively games of poker, a tradition he happily passed down through generations. He was always eager for an outing to any casino that offered a poker room.

A devoted family man, Ken treasured weekends spent with his parents, Patricia’s parents, his sister Terry’s family, and later with his children’s growing families, including his niece and nephew. In 2005 he and Patricia moved to Woodcrest Village Condominium in Mount Kisco, where he served on the condo board for ten years and enjoyed the friendships, poolside afternoons, clubhouse events, and quiet times with his buddies.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia; his children, Scott (Teddi) Dolph, Deborah (Larry) Walker, and Stephen (Annie) Dolph; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Theresa Chiola; his niece Laurie; his nephew PJ; and his grandniece and grandnephew.
