Kenneth Garrett Keel, age 86, passed away on March 14, 2026 with his family by his side.
Ken met and married the love of his life, Karen, 65 years ago. Their marriage produced a daughter, Susan (Kevin), a son, Daniel, granddaughter, Kari (Paul) Oshinski, granddaughter Melissa Montie and Aiden. Ken was a great husband, father and grandfather. Ken and Karen knew from the beginning they would spend their entire lives together with the deep-seated love they had for each other.
Kenneth Garrett Keel was the son of the late Garrett and Inez Keel (nee Weiss). He was born in Monroe, WI. As a young boy he was in Boy Scouts. In High School he was a star track runner, played football and was a lifeguard at the pool.
After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Upon his honorable discharge, he enrolled in MSOE and graduated with a degree in Metallurgy.
In his career he excelled in foundry knowledge. He was a proud member of the Cast Metals Institute and American Foundry Men’s Society.
Ken moved on to Badger Mining as a sales representative. After Badger he went to work at Borden Inc., which became Acme Resin. He gave product presentations and promoted the products here and in companies in France, Germany, and Ford-Australia. Ken received many accolades as he was always personable, knowledgeable, and honest in all his work.
Ken was a consummate conservationist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking throughout his life. His family knows him as Noble, Brave and True.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and his daughter.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, two nieces, a nephew, family members and friends.
VISITATION: Ken’s family will greet relatives and friends, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, (2881 Division Road, Jackson, WI).
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service for Ken will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, with Pastor Paul Mittermaier officiating the service. Military Honors for Ken will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church are preferred.
