Private Family Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 19th at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Mr. Jasnau was born in Buffalo, New York on May 22, 1931, to the late Louis Henry Jasnau, and Ella Tamlin Jasnau. He married Sandra J. Knighton on June 11, 1955, in Port Colborne, Ontario Canada. Their marriage produced four children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and worked with the Department of Family and Children Services. Mr. Jasnau dedicated his life helping others. He was awarded the WMAZ Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Caregiver of the Year Award from the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving which spawned the Project H.O.P.E. (Helping other people everywhere), and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Social Workers - Central Georgia Chapter. He also was the Volunteer Executive Director of Meals on Wheels for 1975 – 2008.Survivors include a son Robert Jasnau, three daughters Susan Pennington, Terri Stewart and Jill Drew.Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has chargeTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
