Kenneth Daly

Kenneth “Ken” Daly, 83, of Johnstown, New York, passed away after a long illness on March 9, 2026. Born and raised in Whitesboro, New York, he was the son of the late George and Catherine (Coogan) Daly.

Ken shared 62 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Sybil (Milotte) Daly, a partnership filled with loyalty, humor, and deep affection. He was predeceased by his three brothers, James, Terry, and Dennis Daly of the Utica area, and his half-brother Roderick of Clinton Township, Michigan.

He is survived by his four children, who were the pride of his life: Michele Suchy (Jim) of Clinton, New York; Robin Daly of St. Petersburg, Florida; Scott Daly (Denise) of Burnham, Pennsylvania; and Timothy Daly (Carrie) of Yardley, Pennsylvania. Ken also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren—Kayla, Ben, Shelby, Melanie, Rachel, Julia, and Norah—and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Ken enjoyed a long and respected career as General Manager of Fulmont News in Amsterdam, New York, for more than 30 years. He later fulfilled a longtime dream by opening and operating Daly’s Liquor Mart in Palatine Bridge, New York, until his retirement in 2015. Known for his quick wit, sharp humor, and easy rapport with others, he made friends wherever he went. He loved playing golf, sharing laughs with friends, and cheering—often loudly—for his beloved New York Yankees.
