It is with deep sorrow that we share Kenny's departure from this world, as he will be greatly missed, yet we rejoice knowing that he is in heaven with Jesus. Driven by his love for God and others, Kenny greatly impacted many lives during his 59 years.Kenny was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband, successful business owner, coach, athlete, served in ministry, and served in the United States Army National Guard to help uphold and defend his beloved country. Having a healthy sense of adventure and witty humor, especially when it came to his uncanny ability to recite and sing country song lyrics to any trivial life matter, Kenny lived his life with his eyes open and heart full of love. Kenny's legacy of love for others, generosity, aptitude for empathy and peacemaking, wit and humor, wisdom, strength and joy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Kenny's fortitude to face and overcome any challenges presented to him and his remarkable life will forever be a testament to the deep unconditional love to be found in Jesus Christ.Kenny is survived by his wife, Melonie Mills; loving daughters Heidi Covington (Jared) and Haley Carter (Erol); adored grandchildren Amelia Covington, Eleonor Covington, Jillian Covington, Maverick Carter, and Beau Carter, who was the light of his life; mother Bertha Mills; and siblings John W Mills Jr., Rita Gellatly, Melvin Mills, and Betty Woodward.
