He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Beatrice Mathis Allen; sister, Virginia Allen Haraway and husband, Auvin Haraway; father-in-law and mother-in-law, J. P. and Sarah Heard Lord; brothers-in-law, Jerry Lord and Jacky Lord; sisters-in-law, Darlena Lord and Betty Ann Ryder.Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Charlotte Lord Allen of Sugar Hill; sister-in-law, Cindy Lord Pass and Keith Pass; brother-in-law, Tony Lord; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Mr. Allen was born on March 28, 1932 in Buford, GA. He was a 1949 graduate of Sugar Hill High School and he was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Allen was owner of Poss and Allen Body Shop in Sugar Hill and retired from there after many years, and he was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan, with his favorite driver being Chase Elliott. Mr. Allen enjoyed going to, and participating in, car shows where he won numerous awards with all his show cars. Two of the favorite vacation spots for Kenneth and Charlotte to travel to were Pigeon Forge and Daytona Beach. He and Charlotte really enjoyed dining at their favorite restaurants. His second love after Charlotte was his cat whom he called Baby Girl.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Scarborough and Dr. Bill Coates officiating. Interment will be at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to The American Heart Association in memory of Kenneth Allen.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
