Kendell Smith

Kendell Smith, 37, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on March 8, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Jada and Jakala Smith, both of Grovetown, Georgia; his mother, Cynthia Thomas of Belleville, Illinois; his brothers, Phillip Swanson Jr. of Belleville and Christopher Swanson; his sisters, Brandi (Willie) Brown of Belleville and Andriel (Stephen) Gibson of Fairview Heights, Illinois; and his fiancée, Rashonda Jane of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Kendell will be remembered for the love he held for his family, especially his daughters, and the warmth he shared with all those who knew him. His presence brought light to the lives of his mother, siblings, and extended family, who will carry his memory with them always.
