Kelly Rice, affectionately known as "Kellz," was born on May 30, 1994, in Louisville, Kentucky, and sadly passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, leaving behind a profound legacy in his family and community.

Kellz graduated from Waggener High School in the Class of 2013. He found fulfillment in his dual careers as a line cook and carpenter, where he combined his culinary skills and craftsmanship with his love for creative expression. Known for his affectionate laughter and goofiness, Kelly was a true jokester who brought joy to those around him. His forward-driven nature, kindness, and trustworthiness made him a cherished friend to many.

Kelly's hobbies and interests were as vibrant as his personality. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed spending his free time immersed in the world of gaming, often bonding with his nephew, Luca, over Xbox games and anime, particularly One Piece. Family vacations held a special place in his heart, creating cherished memories that will be fondly remembered by his loved ones.

He is survived by his loving mother, Michelle Campbell; father, Brian Rice; brother, Dylan (Diana) Rice; and his cherished nephew, Luca Rice. He also leaves behind his beloved fur babies, Apollo and Zoro, as well as a host of extended family who will deeply miss his vibrant spirit.

Kelly was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Campbell; grandfather, Bobby Rice; aunt, Marie "Rere" Rogers; and uncle, Russell Rogers. Their memories will always remain intertwined with those of Kelly, whose impact on their lives will never be forgotten.

In celebration of Kelly's life, family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY, 40243, on March 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

As we remember Kelly Rice, we honor a man whose laughter, love, and unwavering support enriched the lives of everyone he encountered. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
