Kelly Monroe Goode

Kelly Monroe Goode, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 55. Born in Villa Rica, Georgia, on the Fourth of July 1970, Kelly brought a spark and warmth to everyone he met. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served bravely in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His commitment to his country was matched by his deep passion for competitive swimming, where he once dreamed of competing in the Olympics. He worked as a security guard, known for his steadfast dedication to protecting others, and found great joy in music, both listening to it and sharing it with those around him.

Kelly is survived by his son, Easton Goode; his step-daughter, Kayla Duarte; his daughter, Sophia Goode; and his sisters, Kimberli Parrott and Karen Duthie. He was a cherished grandfather to two grandchildren and held a special place in the hearts of his eight nieces, one nephew, four great-nieces, and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Goode, his brother, Daniel Harris, and his sister, LaDonna Schumacher. His family finds comfort knowing they are reunited once more.

Kelly’s laughter, spirit, and quiet dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and a life well-lived.
