He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Byron Jones and Myrna Mills Jones; his wife Becky; his daughter Iris Jones Haftlang; his son-in-law Omid Haftlang; his stepdaughter Avery Bechtel (Josh) of Salida; his stepgrandchildren, Parker and Rowen; his daughter Lindsey Majors of Denver, Colorado; his siblings, Shireman of Lake Lewisville, Texas and Irish Jones (Vyeann Jones) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and his pet Rommel. He was also cherished by husband and wife but also devoted partners and cherished companions.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (10625 FM600, Avoca, TX 79503). A burial will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery (10625 FM600, Avoca, TX 79503).
