Kelly Downs

Edward Kelly Downs, age 61, of Clarksville, Tennessee, entered into the joy of the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Born on August 27, 1964, in Clarksville to Max Dale Downs and Catheryn Balthrop Downs, Kelly was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing. He remained active in his congregation, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was also a Master Mason at Queen City Lodge #761 F.&A.M. and a devoted University of Tennessee Volunteers fan. Above all, he was a beloved son, a loving husband, a caring father, and a steadfast brother.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Raymond and Ellie Hicks; his grandparents, Oliver and Ocie Downs and Charles and Ira Mai Balthrop; and his aunt and uncle, Tommy and Johnnie Thomas.

Kelly is survived by his parents, Max Dale and Catheryn Downs; his loving wife, Jennifer Downs; his son, Andrew Downs; his daughter, Ali Downs; and his brother, Kevin Downs.
