July 4, 1931— March 12, 2026
Ruston, LA
Keith W. Elliott, aged 94, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on July 4, 1931, at his family home in Gaars Mill, Louisiana, to Lettie Kelly Elliott and Alfred Elliott, Keith lived a full life marked by quiet strength, steadfast faith, and deep devotion to family and community.
A Korea War veteran, Keith served in the Navy aboard the Battleship USS Iowa. He retired after 40 years with AT&T and remained active in his church as a longtime member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. He was also a Master Mason with Ruston Lodge #106, a member of the Baraka Shrine Temple in Monroe, and a dedicated volunteer with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s S.C.O.P. department. Keith found simple joys in camping with the Caney Lake Good Sams, reading western novels, tending his garden, fishing for crappie, sharing coffee with friends at Ambrose Country Store, and spending time with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Fanny “Mae” Elliott, his parents, his sister Cortez Elliott, and his brother Kelly Elliott. Keith is survived by his son, Keith “Randy” Elliott and wife Donna of Jacksonville, Florida; his daughter, Linda Elliott Richardson and husband Scott of Choudrant, Louisiana; grandsons Clint Richardson (Amanda) and Zachry Richardson (Savannah); granddaughter Kayla Elliott; step-granddaughter Vanessa Guiel; and seven great-grandsons, William, Harlan, Elijah, Colton, Danny, Landyn, and Ezra. He is also survived by his nephew Brion Elliott (Cathy), along with many former coworkers, dear friends, and extended family.
