Keith Steffan

Keith D. Steffan, 76, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 5, 2026. Born on July 18, 1949, in Lima, Ohio, to Clarence and Phyllis (Unverferth) Steffan, Keith was known for his quiet nature and gentle sense of humor. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren throughout his life.

Keith graduated from Leipsic High School and earned an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A proud American, he served as an Army reservist before building a career as an electrical engineer and owning several businesses. He remained passionate about the Detroit Tigers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns. He also found joy in music, singing, karaoke, and his beloved Corvettes, while remaining a loyal member of many local clubs.

He is survived by his children, Tara Steffan, Chelsea Steffan, and Sara Steffan; grandchildren, Tori Jones, Will Fox, and McKenna Henson; and siblings, Marlin Steffan, Joyce (Peg) Steffan, Mike (Tammy) Steffan, and Roger (Chris) Steffan. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and Clarence Steffan, and his nephew, Kyle Steffan.
