Morrow, GA
Keith Richard Munson, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.
Born on May 25, 1945, Keith was a devoted family man who took great pride in providing for those he loved. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Munson and Carolyn Howland; his son, Kevin Munson; and his sister, Susan Turner.
A man of many interests, Keith loved music and singing. He faithfully sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church of Morrow, where he had been a member since 1975. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching nearly every sport but held a special passion for the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and especially the Georgia Bulldogs. He also had a deep appreciation for nature, often sharing stories about the wildlife visible from his backyard that backed up to the Reynolds Nature Reserve. In his younger years, Keith was an active runner who participated several times in the Peachtree Road Race and enjoyed playing tennis. Later in life, he found quiet joy in working with numbers, solving math problems, and completing Sudoku puzzles.
Keith dedicated 40 years of hard work to Ford Motor Company at the Hapeville plant, often speaking with pride about his long career there.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathy Munson; his daughter, Angela Boone (Michael); his sisters, Paula Chastain and Kathie Dymek (Stanley); his brother, Pete Balckstock (Glynda); his stepson, Anthony Cagle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
