Keith L. Sawyer, 64, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. He was born on February 1, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Ivester Shavers and George Sawyer. Keith graduated from England High School in England, Arkansas, and went on to build a long career in the construction industry, where his strong work ethic and reliability earned the respect of everyone who worked with him.
Those who knew Keith remember him as a kind-hearted and compassionate man who never met a stranger. He genuinely cared for others and made a point of checking on family and friends, even when he was not feeling his best. His selfless spirit and warm nature left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
In his free time, Keith cherished the simple pleasures of life most of all. He loved gathering with his family, sharing laughter, stories, and special moments together. He was also a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan who took great joy in cheering for his team.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Ivester Shavers and George Sawyer; three brothers, Elgie Sanders, Brian Sawyer, and Jerrell Rice; and one sister, Tina Taylor. He is survived by his loving children, Jaylen Sawyer, Latonya Boston, and Labarbara Sawyer; his brothers, Ray Sawyer, Clint Sawyer, and Stacy Sawyer; his sisters, Demetria (Efrem) Jones, Shirley Sanders, Carla White, and Turkessaa Sawyer; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
