KC Jones ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center - Morton on Mar. 17, 2026.MORTON - Kenneth Cletus "KC" Jones, 82, of Morton, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.He was born on June 4, 1943, in Evansville, Indiana, to Gilbert C. and Tressa Nadine (Acord) Jones. After his father passed away, KC was raised by his mother, Nadine, along his stepfather, Graham "Dag" Mills. KC married his high school sweetheart, Linda J. Hise on June 22, 1963, in Ridgway, Illinois.Surviving are his wife, Linda Jones of Morton; sons, Kent (Ara) Jones of East Peoria and Kevin (Gena) Jones of Morton; grandchildren, Kody (Mallory) Jones, Kacey (Caleb) Zobrist, Kyleigh (Blaine) Wilmot, Kole (Daniela) Jones and Kade (Sadie) Jones; great-grandchildren, Zeke, Mac, Dexter and Kit Zobrist, Grayson and Paxton Wilmot and Kallen Jones; brother, Thomas (Rose) Jones and sister, Pamela Mills-Colson-McKinney-Sands.With Linda by his side, KC started his own insurance agency, KC Jones Insurance, in 1975, and retired in 2009.He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church. KC was also a member of the NRA and enjoyed attending their conventions.KC loved to go deer hunting and hanging out at the gun shop and shooting range with his buddies. KC was an avid storyteller who delighted in entertaining family and friends with vivid tales from the past, bringing memories to life with charm and enthusiasm.Most of all, KC loved the Lord and his family.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.Memorials may be made to OSF St. Francis Medical Center NICU.Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
