KayLynn Shaye Salmon
March 15, 1999— March 5, 2026
Claremore, OK
KayLynn Shaye Salmon, born on March 15, 1999, in Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly in Claremore on March 5, 2026. A radiant presence in the lives of those around her, she brought warmth, kindness, and genuine care to everyone she met.
KayLynn worked as a substitute teacher in the school system her children attended, where she created a nurturing and empowering environment for her students. She was deeply loved by the children she taught, who responded to her joyful and inspiring spirit. Above all, she devoted herself to her children, Karter and Mia Diaz, who were the center of her world. Being their mother brought her the greatest happiness, and she cherished every moment with them. She also shared a close bond with the father of her children, Ramon Diaz, enjoying peaceful kayaking trips together and the simple pleasures of daily life.
Her love extended to animals; she raised and sold Yorkies and adored her cats and goats. KayLynn also expressed her creativity through baking, turning simple ingredients into beautiful and delicious creations.
She is survived by her children, Karter and Mia Diaz of Pryor, Oklahoma; the father of her children, Ramon Diaz; her mother, Wanda Salmon of Pryor, Oklahoma; her brothers, Derek Bramlett and Tristan Salmon, both of Pryor; her sisters, Amber Bramlett of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Marysa Salmon of Pryor; and her grandparents, Mary and John Salmon of Pryor. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
KayLynn was preceded in death by her father, Darren Salmon; her maternal grandparents, Nick and Wynona Sanders; her uncle, Eddie Sanders; and her cousin, Kyle Ball.
