Kayla A. Nikou, born on August 16, 1993, in Malden, Massachusetts, passed away on March 10, 2025 at the age of 32. Kayla’s short life was marked by remarkable achievements and a dedication to those she loved that inspired many around her.

A graduate of Melrose High School, Kayla continued her education at Salem State College, Lesley University, Bunker Hill Community College, and Simmons University, ultimately earning an independent license and a Master’s Degree. Her commitment to learning reflected her determination and deep passion for personal growth.

Above all, Kayla found her greatest joy in her role as a mother. She lovingly raised her ten-year-old son, John Anthony Nikou, who was the center of her world. Their cherished moments, especially those spent overseas with family and friends, formed her happiest memories. Kayla’s devotion to John Anthony and the time they shared traveling and exploring was a testament to her nurturing spirit.

Kayla is survived by her beloved son, John Anthony Nikou; her father, John Nikou; and her mother, Kimberlie (Will) Nikou. She is also survived by John Anthony's father, Bradley Giadano, her aunt Elaine Soiras, her uncle Eric Soiras, her godmother Kathy Soiras, and her best friend Ashley. She will be remembered for her warmth, her accomplishments, and the vibrant life she led with love and strength.
