Kay Francis Horton

Kay Francis Horton, age 84, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on March 10, 2026, at her residence. Born on December 5, 1941, in Parkersburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary R. Battin Brown.

A longtime member of the Lauckport United Methodist Church, Kay found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She shared 67 years of marriage with her husband, Danny Gene Horton, and devoted herself to nurturing the many generations that followed.

She is survived by her children, Marianne K. Horton of Belpre, Ohio, Jackie B. Horton (Angela) of Parkersburg, Robert Scott Horton (Sarah) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Alberta I. Roes (Charles) of Parkersburg; twelve grandchildren, Mary Dawn, Mary Kay, Jack Daniel, Samantha, Robin, Luke, Savannah, Daniel, Lori, Ann Marie, Vanessa, and Preslie; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Gene Horton; her son, Danny G. Horton Jr.; her granddaughter, Mandy M. Perez; and her great-granddaughter, Hannah Diane Roes.
