Kay Frances Rayburn Crain

Kay Frances Rayburn Crain, age 82, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born on May 23, 1943, in Jasper, Texas, to Fred Rayburn and Mildred Rayburn Taylor.

Kay had a gift for making everyone around her feel heard and loved. Whether she was cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs or Texas Rangers, sharing treasured hugs with her grandchildren, or simply lending a listening ear to a friend in need, she lived her life with a generous and fun-loving heart. Her memory will live on in every dance, every hug, and every moment of grace she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Rayburn and Mildred Rayburn Taylor; sisters, Melva Boyett, Martha Varnell, and Billie Chamblee; brother, John Rayburn; and grandson, Dillon Crain.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Martin Crain and wife Candace; daughter, Brenda Crain Bush and husband Tommy; her ex-husband, George Crain; sisters, Mary Van Orden and husband John, and Betty Folsom; grandchildren, Martin Crain II and wife Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Crain, Kendra Crain, Case Crain, Owen Crain, and Rylee Crain.
