It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katie Young of Union City, Tennessee, who passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred O. Kaufman and Rosa Kaufman (Lattus); her husband Jason O. Young, Sr.; her stepson Jason O. "Buddy" Young, Jr.; her stepson-in-law Mike McCarver; and her siblings, Doris Martynak, Margaret Wall, Louise Williams, Pat Cooley, Father Vincent Kaufman, Raymond Kaufman and James Brice.

She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Pat McCarver of Union City and Cheryl Workman (Ronnie L.) of Union City; her grandchildren, Missy Emrich (Steve) of Union City, Tim Wright (Windy) of Union City, Clint Workman (Emily) of South Fulton, Cory Workman (Kaitlyn) of South Fulton and Kayce Workman of Union City; and her great grandchildren, Gage Wright of Union City, Grayson Workman of South Fulton, Rhett Workman of South Fulton, Langston Workman of South Fulton and Granger Workman of South Fulton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1303 E Reelfoot Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
