Katie Lynn Cuoghi

Katie Lynn Cuoghi, 35, of Woodlawn, Virginia, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Twin County Regional Hospital. Born on July 30, 1990, in Mount Airy, North Carolina, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Cuoghi.

Katie is survived by her son, Chasen Redd, with whom she shared her home; her father, Darren Cuoghi of Low Gap, North Carolina; her sister, Melissa Young of Fries, Virginia; her paternal grandmother, Doris Cuoghi of Low Gap, North Carolina; her uncle, Travis Cuoghi of Florida; her niece, Morgan; and her nephew, Micah. She was also deeply cherished by her special friends Deana Case and Michelle Laird, as well as her church family at Blue Ridge Fellowship.

Those who knew Katie will remember the love she poured into raising her son and the quiet strength she showed in her relationships with family and friends. Her faith and the bonds she formed at Blue Ridge Fellowship remained an important part of her life. She leaves behind a family that will carry her memory with tenderness and gratitude for the time they shared.
