Her journey concluded on March 12, 2026, as she joined her parents, A.B. and Delores Hix, and other cherished family members in God's Kingdom. She graduated from Copan High School in 1981.Kathy's legacy is marked by her boundless devotion to her family, which includes her surviving siblings Jerry, Jim, Dean and Cheryl, and her husband Darrell Kimrey, and their children Brian and wife, Dena Kimrey, Cody and wife, Sarah Kimrey, Adam and Dillion Kimrey, along with eighteen grandchildren - Caleb, Faith, Waylon, Dempsey, Briella, Abby, Isaac, Strait, Cannon, River, Bear, Mindielyn, Bailey, Adiana, Kyson and Noah.Despite the loss of her parents, siblings Steve, Mike, Debra and Betty, and two grandchildren, Kathy's spirit remained resilient. Her compassion extended beyond her family as she dedicated her career to caring for the elderly as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Heritage Villa. Her nurturing touch was felt by many who were fortunate to know her. Kathy cherished her time at Matoaka Baptist Church and found joy in watching the wild horses that roamed nearby, a testament to her love of nature and her gentle spirit.Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 11:00AM, at the Pawhuska Church of the Nazarene, 407 E. 8th St., Pawhuska, OK.
