Kathy Ann Hummel, 74, of Wellsboro, passed away at her home on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1951, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of Nevin and Barbara (McNinch) Hummel. Kathy worked a variety of jobs, including Safeway Grocery Store, Adelphia, and Medplast. She was a caregiver, caterer, representative payee and did volunteer work. Kathy was a ServSafe Proctor and traveled extensively to British Columbia and throughout the United States to provide training on how to open and operate restaurants. She enjoyed baking, cooking and doing crafts with her grandchildren. Kathy has been described as a "walking Hallmark card" who was always there for everyone with encouraging words.Kathy is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Robert) Hummel-Bowers of Wellsboro; grandchildren, Marquisha (Cody) Adams and Shondra (Nicholas) Harding; great-grandchildren, Macie Bowers, Aubree Webster, Reid Adams, Lillian Krause, Zander Harding, Zoe Harding and Raymond Harding; and a twin sister, Kay, (David) Hughes of Florida.She was preceded in death by her father, Nevin; her mother and stepfather, Barbara and Donald King; and a sister, Soozie Hummel.A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at a later date.
