Kathryn "Kathy" Temple

Kathryn "Kathy" Temple

Delaware, OH

Kathryn (Kathy Beamer) Temple, age 88, of Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Landings of Westerville. She was born in Fostoria, Ohio, on Nov. 11, 1937, to the late Charles and Alberta (Wooster) Beamer. After graduating from Fostoria High School in 1955, she then went on to receive a Medical Technology degree in Elkhart, Indiana. She has been a resident of Delaware since 1965. Her employment consisted of 24 years of service at Ohio Wesleyan student health center as a medical lab technician, a phlebotomist, and a medical records specialist at various doctor offices in Delaware. She was a passionate advocate for her clients and friends finding and selling their homes as a realtor for Century 21 and Better Homes & Gardens. Kathy is survived by the three loves of her life, sons, Donald (Ora) of Delaware, Kenneth of Dublin, and Steven (Corina) of Genoa, Nevada; Donnie, Kenny, and Stevie. "Grams" is also survived by her other loves, Megan (Adam) Beatrice, with sons Bodhi and Elston, Emily (Matt) Moser, with sons Brooks, and Jacob Temple. Also surviving are her older brother Chuck (Norma) Beamer of Fremont, Ohio, and a brother-in-law, Robert (Stephanie) Temple of Kenton, Ohio. Nephews and nieces, Chuck Beamer, Leslie (Beamer) Allaire, Brad, Ryan, Nick, Matt, Beth, and Jason Temple. She was also preceded in death by brother-in-law's, Jim and Tom Temple. Kathy deeply enjoyed her time with friends and family. The ladies of the lake, the fab 5 mother's club, and the bridge club were some of her most treasured groups. Wherever she lived, Kathy always cherished the memories and friendships formed with her neighbors and her boys' friends' parents. She prized being a valued friend to so many; it's hard to mention all of you. But if you had a cup of coffee or a hot fudge sundae with her and giggled and solved some of life's little problems, those memories will bring solace. She enjoyed the library and reading, especially romance novels. She traveled extensively to visit the boys, family, and friends throughout the U.S. and Europe. She also enjoyed watching sports and simply reading the paper, especially on Sundays. When her dogs and cats were around her, she was at home. She prided herself on being a strong, independent woman. Most of all, she liked being a Mom, Ma. It's a gift to have had such a Mother and know that she wanted nothing more than to be your Cub Scout den mother, home room mother in school, start the first block watch program at Smith School, or cheer you on at your games and accomplishments throughout life. Friends may call on Thursday, March 12th, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, Ohio 43015, where services will follow at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Kevin Kinnison officiating. Her family asks that you forgo flowers and consider a donation to the Humane Society of Delaware County, SourcePoint of Delaware, or Delaware County District Library. Condolences may be expressed at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
