She was born on April 1, 1931, in Beaumont, to Lillian Patterson and Charles Jones.Survivors include her sisters, Tessa Schiesler of Vidor; Alice Broussard of Fannett; and Sharron Phythian of Opelousas, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Messina; and siblings, Charles Jones, Jr., Johnny Jones, Edna Mae Jones, Ernest Jones, and Jimmy Jones.Memorial contributions for Mrs. Messina may be made to St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, 850 Forsythe Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
