Kathryn Pecoraro ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts of Ocala East Chapel on Mar. 16, 2026.Kathryn Marie Pecoraro [Walsh], 71, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on March 11th, 2026 surrounded by family at the Grace Davis Hall Hospice House after a five year hard fought battle with breast cancer.Kathryn was born in Rutherford New Jersey to Everette and Mary Walsh on March 21st 1954. She went to St. Mary's Catholic High School and graduated in 1972. She went on to earn a Bachelors degree in psychology from Caldwell College in 1976. She also obtained a professional librarians certification in 1978.She worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher and corrections officer. While working corrections at the Bergen County Sheriffs Department, she met her husband, Vito Pecoraro. After retiring from law enforcement, she went on to work for the Clifton Board of Education for two years where she worked with disabled students as a paraprofessional. After moving to Florida, she worked for Aces Tutoring and did private tutoring in various subjects for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. She attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, FL for many years.Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Mary Walsh; her husband Vito Pecoraro, and her brother, Edward Walsh. She is survived by her three children: Kathryn and Vincent of Ocala Florida, Stephanie Stacy her husband James, and their daughter Savannah of Rincon, Georgia; her step children: Vito Pecoraro Jr. and Carlo Pecoraro of New Jersey; and her brothers: Richard Walsh of Texas and Billy and his wife Linda Walsh of New Jersey.Visitation will be held at Robert's of Ocala East Chapel on March 21, 2026 at 9:30am with the funeral service at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens at 12pm.Flower donations may be made to Robert's Funeral Home, 2739 SE Maricamp Road Ocala, FL 34471.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
