Kathryn A. “Kathy” Lanciano passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on October 12, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to George and Kathryn L. Potter (nee Hitchens).

Kathy was a vibrant and spirited woman whose personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her spunky nature and zest for life, she brought warmth, laughter, and love to her family and friends. Her signature spiky hair and bold style—often reflected in her love of animal print—perfectly matched her lively spirit.

Kathy enjoyed a successful career in real estate and later embraced a fulfilling retirement in Florida. She took great pride in her more than 50 years of marriage and cherished the time she spent with her growing family.

She had many passions, including playing mahjong and card games, cruising, visiting the casino, and spending time at the beach, one of her favorite places. Above all, Kathy loved being surrounded by family and creating joyful memories together.

Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of over 50 years, Frederick Lanciano; her children, Kimberly Ziegler (George) and Stephen Colanero (Breta); and her beloved grandchildren, Ashley Ziegler, Taylor Ziegler (Lindsay), Katie O’Brien (Alex), Audrey Colanero, and Mia Colanero. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Adrian O’Brien and Liam O’Brien, with one more great-grandchild on the way.

Kathy will be remembered for her lively spirit, loving heart, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched and in the family she loved so dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
