Kathlynn was born August 5, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to Robert J. and Patricia A. (Parker) Knop. She married Matthew Paul Parkhurst on August 7, 1970, in Flint, Michigan, and spent 27 years raising her family in Flushing, Michigan.She is survived by her sons, James Parkhurst and wife, Carmen of Prosper, Texas and Andrew Parkhurst and wife, Heather of Powell, Tennessee; grandchildren, Gabrielle Parkhurst, Matthew Parkhurst, Aurora Parkhurst, Glen Parkhurst, and Hunter Parkhurst; sisters, Mary Tankersley and husband, Daniel of Dayton, Ohio and Pamela Olenchak and husband, Dr. F.
