Kathleen M. “Kay” (Davis) Petruzziello, 90, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on March 9, 2026, at The Arbors at Dracut, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Randolph, Vermont, on November 3, 1935, to Harold and Margaret (Tracy) Davis, Kay graduated from Lowell High School in 1953 and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Lowell State Teachers College in 1957. She went on to serve as Director of Alumni at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and later worked as a Congressional Aide for Senator Paul Tsongas. A dedicated advocate in both local and national politics, she also held a deep interest in history, enjoyed reading, and loved to travel.
She was the devoted wife of 67 years to Bernard D. Petruzziello, who survives her. She leaves behind her daughters Marilyn Graham and Steve Joncas of Lowell and Caroline Rider and her husband Mike of Lowell; her sons Andrew Petruzziello and Thuy Nguyen of Springfield, Virginia, and Joseph Petruzziello and his wife Krista of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Shannon Montgomery and her husband Jordan, Jaclyn Burnham and her husband John, Harrison Rider and his wife Savannah, Maxwell Rider, Benjamin Petruzziello and his fiancée Jamie Bishop, Isaac Petruzziello, Lucas Petruzziello, and Charles Rider; four great-grandchildren, Quinn, Graham, Johnny, and Valentina; two sisters, Margaret Anne Stevens of Pocasset and Patricia Berry of Tyngsborough; a sister-in-law, Joan Davis of Pelham, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late H. Tracy Davis.
