Kathleen "Kathy" Helms

Kathleen “Kathy” Helms, 67, of Paulding, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital.

Born on June 25, 1958, in Ithaca, New York, Kathy was the daughter of Helen House. She devoted most of her life to being a homemaker, pouring her time and love into caring for her family and those around her. On February 14, 1979, she married the love of her life, George Helms Sr., beginning a partnership that meant the world to her. Kathy was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Steelers. She enjoyed listening to oldies music and losing herself in a good romance novel. Known for her caring heart, she was always willing to help anyone in need. Everyone who knew her lovingly called her “Momma,” because she was always there with the warmth, support, and guidance of a mother. Kathy was generous and kind, laughed often, and truly loved life.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Rebecca Davis, Kati Helms, Jacqulyn Helms, George Helms Jr., and Casey Helms; her siblings, Anthony House, Sandi Williams, Robert House, and David Schultz; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her mother, Helen House; and her siblings, Dinah Maguire and Richard Maguire.
