Kathleen Kennedy “Kitty” Hart, age 84, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, on December 11, 1941, Kitty was the daughter of the late Jack and Gladys (Thistlewood) Kennedy. A graduate of P.S. Once her children finished high school, she returned to the workforce as a receptionist at Ethan Allen Furniture and later at JR Gettier & Associates.
A lifelong equestrian, Kitty shared her passion for riding with her sister and daughter, enjoying many hours on horseback throughout Fair Hill. She will be remembered for her strength, perseverance, and the gentle kindness she showed to everyone around her.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Hart; her daughter, Gayle K. Hart; and her twin sister, Elaine K. Hearne. She is survived by her sons, William Hart and David Hart, her daughter-in-law Eliana, and her grandsons, Tomas Hart and Lukas Hart.
