Kathleen H. Spellman

January 30, 1958 March 15, 2026

West Deptford, NJ

Kathleen H. Spellman (née Newmann) of West Deptford passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 68, surrounded by her family and their love.

Beloved wife of Michael Spellman, she was the loving mother of Michelle Wright (Kevin) of West Deptford, Erin Vatsev (Emi) of National Park, and Steven Spellman (Nicole) of Abington, Pennsylvania. She was the devoted Meemee of Mikayla, Luke, Avaleigh, Adalynn, Everett, Alex, and Ben. Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Ray Newmann of Deptford, Kathleen is survived by her siblings Terri, Barry, Rae, Scott, Ginny, Jacki, Roger, and the late Darlene, along with a large extended family and many dear friends.

Beautiful, strong, and guided by deep faith, Kathleen found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished quiet mornings with coffee and conversation alongside her husband, Mike, everyday talks with her children, and being a constant, loving presence in her grandchildren’s lives. She rarely missed a game or event, proudly cheering from the sidelines, courtside, or rink-side. A gifted cook, she was known for her perfect spaghetti sauce and rich gravy, filling her kitchen with warmth and delicious meals. She was the heart of every holiday, creating lasting traditions, and she treasured family vacations, GWA trips, summer days by the backyard pool, and time spent with friends.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished Meemee who gave her family more than they could have ever hoped for. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
