A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Flushing Presbyterian Church. Pastor Paul Pfeuffer will officiate. A private burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to PanCan.org for Pancreatic Cancer research.Kathleen was born in Flint, Michigan on November 30, 1949, the daughter of Walter and Erna (Falewich) Coxworth. She married her beloved husband, John Miller Jr., on June 26, 1970, and they shared nearly 57 wonderful years of marriage - though John lovingly insists it was 58. Together they built a life centered on family and devotion.Kathy was a graduate of Hurley School of Nursing and dedicated her career to caring for others. She began her career as a Ward Nurse at Genesee Memorial Hospital and then moved on to a private OBGYN practice while starting her family. She returned to Hurley Hospital for a 20+ year career where she retired as Operating Room Surgical Nurse Manager and went on to work as an Endoscopy Nurse at Crown Point because she still felt the need to care for others.Kathy was a devoted member and deacon at Flushing Presbyterian Church and actively supported the church's blood drives. Her faith guided her life.She also loved birds, flowers, music, toll painting, and rescuing animals. She found great joy in cheering on her grandchildren at hockey and soccer games.Kathy was a loving mother to John D. (Deborah) Miller, Lynn (Matt) Jamison, and Laura (Brian) Schnering; and a proud grandmother to Nik, Olivia, Kelan, and Kaiya. She is also survived by her brother Bruce (Debbie) Coxworth; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Erna; and her siblings, Doug and Martha. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and compassion.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
