Toledo, OH

Kathleen E. Temple, 77, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

She was born April 28, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, to Walter and Ruth (Welling) Best. Kathy graduated from Kent State University in 1970. She married Ronald Temple on August 18, 1978, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2000.

Kathy began her career as a physical education teacher, sharing her love of sports and fitness with her students. She later transitioned into a long and successful career as a printing estimator with ERD Specialty Graphics, Inc. in Toledo, where she worked for many years before retiring.

Athletics were a lifelong passion for Kathy. She enjoyed playing softball and golf for many years with her girlfriends. Though rheumatoid arthritis eventually limited some of her activities, she remained spirited. Kathy also enjoyed crafts, traveling, and spending time vacationing with family. Some of her favorite memories were made boating on the lake with her husband. For more than 20 years, she cherished gathering with family for meals at Ernesto's. Kathy's love for The Ohio State Buckeyes led her to amass a large assortment of Ohio State collectibles.

She is survived by her brother, Michael (Karen McKown) Best; nephews, Jeff (Jennifer) Diefenthaler, Brian (Jodi) Best, and Craig Best; great-nephews, Nathan (Kara) Schuessler, Isaiah Best, and Garrett Best; step-son, Rick (Jane) Temple; step-grandchildren, Jessica Heron and Joshua Temple; and brother-in-law, Terry Kazmeier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Temple; her parents; her sister, Teresa Kazmeier; and her sister-in-law, Linda Best.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio. A memorial ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Clay Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwood Fire Department or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District.
